Overview
Welcome to the sequel to El-Hazard - The Magnificent World! Confused? Wasn't El-Hazard
Part 2 the sequel? Well, before that little piece of animation was created, there
was this.
In 1996, like many popular anime series, there was an El-Hazard radio show broadcasted
on late night radio. Iwanaga Tetsuya and Kozakura Etsuko would host this late-night
affair where they would answer questions about their series, play songs sung by
the cast members, and each episode featured a short piece of radio drama.
Later, those dramas were released as a special CD set and also featured the special
opening and closing themes from the show along with a special piece of bonus drama.
The dramas itself is a story that takes place right after the first OVA series and
thus acts as sequel to the original animation. A story that revolves around the
chaotic wedding of Mr. Fujisawa and Miz Mishtal and all sorts of craziness that
follows when Mr. Fujisawa decides to leave town the night of said wedding.
Sound familiar? It should because several scenes from this series were later recycled
into what would become El-Hazard's animated sequel. You'll probably notice what
material was used again and what is different.

* A common mistake is that the bartender girl's name is "Ifurita"; she is only of the Ifurita class, but her
name is "Ifurina". (This is very clearly heard in the audio.) Apparently, however, the character design is
essentially of TV Ifurita, only perhaps weaker? Jinnai IS after another "Ifurita" he heard of (which is Ifurina), which may be where this
error is sourced from. --Tim
