Overview

This book is a guide to, as the title indicates, The Alternative World. It contains cast and crew information, character bios, production sketches, and a few specific original art images.

While the focus is on the last El-Hazard TV series, the book does give general information on all the El-Hazard animation before it, which is very nice.

The section on merchandise is kind of neat as it showed some items that even we didn't know about.

This book is odd though purely by its size. Most books tend to be very large and size, but this one is tiny in comparison and it is almost the same size as a bound manga.

This book is one of those that if you loved The Alternative World, then you will probably want it. If you were indifferent to the series, then you might not care to buy it. Since it didn't have a very large production run, it is rare and therefore tends to be expensive. Most don't feel comfortable spending so much for such a tiny book. However, it's important to note that this is the one and only book to our knowledge that actually covers the Alternative World to any length.
