The Wanderers was an oddball creation that chose to follow little continuity. It was run on TV as a series, and unlike its big brother, actually has a full story, beginning to end, in 26 episodes, which is also 2 more then the OAV's and Alternative World combined. (But that OAV's had significantly more runtime, so the overall time is shadowed in comparison.)

While not as serious as its "big brothers", Wanderers has more slapstick, clean fun. If there were a version of El-Hazard to show to a child, Wanderers is it. But even so, Wanderers is just something every El-Hazard fan should see for the hell of it.
