El-Hazard is a big place and one will most likely find oneself going from place to place quite often. How does one get around? There are a few viable options.

The first is to go on foot and walk from place to place. This seems to be the most common way for people to get around. Best advice for people who choose this way is to have a good pack to carry your things and a really reliable pair of shoes.

A second option is to travel via some sort of domesticated animal. There are several creatures on El-Hazard whom seem to bear this responsibility from animals that resemble wild horses to large beasts of burden used to transport large caravans. Obviously, the upshot of these is that they make travel easier for people and its reasonably faster. However, there is the downside that you are responsible for the care and upkeep of the said animals, which will cost you money in the immediate future.

A third option to travel by vehicle. This is also the most expensive option. Because a person must be either wealthy enough to buy their own vehicle or at least be able to afford transport on someone else's vehicle.

To focus more on vehicular transportation for a moment, it would seem that the most popular types of vehicles all appear to be a form of hovercraft. A hovercraft is a vehicle that floats above the ground, using either air to keep it afloat or some other method. While, it is not to say that there aren't other types of vehicles, wheeled vehicles such as cars or trucks seem conspicuously absent. Indeed, it appears the largest use of wheels is in small carts and such.

Of course, there is probably a reason for this. There appears to be a major lack of paved roads in El-Hazard, outside the cities. Hovercraft transportation is probably the most preferred as they, unlike wheeled vehicles, can go over all sorts of terrains such as desert and water. This gives the hovercrafts the biggest advantage over all the other forms of transportation as it is fast, able to go long distances, and able to go almost anywhere in El-Hazard without much difficulty.
