Across the Holy River of God, on the eastern banks, deep into the wilderness is where the Bugrom have made their home. In a large mushroom shaped hive, Bugrom march in and out, heeding the beck and call of Queen Diva and the holy messiah Katsuhiko Jinnai.

The Bugrom seem to have pretty free reign of the eastern regions of El-Hazard and they seemed content enough to stay there, not tempting the wrath of the Alliance's ultimate weapon. However, when a strange foreigner speaking their tongue appeared, it was surely a sign from God that this was the Bugrom's time to rise up and take their rightful place as the rulers of El-Hazard.

No one is quite sure when the Bugrom first appeared on El-Hazard or at least in the form they currently have. They don't seem to play any important role in the ancient wars, which were mainly fought between fellow humans. A couple of possible theories are that due to the use of cataclysmic weaponry, the Bugrom evolved and grew stronger. Another possibility is that, like the Phantom Tribe, they too are a race that have been torn from their original homes and thus have made El-Hazard their home instead.

Whatever the reasons, the Bugrom are a threat on El-Hazard. Or, to be more exact, they were. Most of the Bugrom Homeland was ravaged when Rune Venus and Fatora destroyed the area with the Eye of God. Now Diva, Jinnai, and a handful of lucky Bugrom wander El-Hazard trying to resurrect their race and build a new home so as to begin their conquest once again.

The Bugrom have already started building a new hive somewhere in the desert and who knows what the future holds for this hardy race.

In The Wanderers, much of what is said about the Bugrom Homeland still applies, however, their original Homeland has not been destroyed and Jinnai and Diva still reside there as they continue to plot and scheme.
