Profile

Videogame Timeline

(This Character only appears in the El-Hazard Videogame)

Ishiel Soel is the fourth priestess, the priestess of earth or rock. She has blue hair and wears a blue body stocking, along with ornate shoulder armor. She also has a blue gem affixed to her forehead.

According to those who have played the game, Ishiel displays a more 'older sister' mentality and is usually calm and collected (Much like Afura) But she is also known to enjoy drinking and fooling with Makoto (Kinda like Shayla.)

She resides at her own shrine called The Hill of Stones, located on the Bugrom Side of the Holy River of God. Like all of the Chief Priestesses, she has an item of power that she can use to both control and amplify her elemental powers. Hers resembles something like a 3-foot long jackhammer/laser cannon (It is different from the wristbands and rings, no?)

Something that is very important to know about her is that she is actually half-Phantom Tribe, which has led to conflict with the other characters in the course of the story. Since she is only a 'Half-breed' her skin is beigish, but she can produce illusions like her full-blooded cousins.

When one examines Ishiel, they may be reminded of Kalia. Indeed, Kalia looks like a younger, white haired sister of Ishiel. Most likely, since OVA 2 came after the Videogame, the character designers based Kalia off the priestess of earth who would never make an appearance in the OVA timeline. It's something worth thinking about.
