Floristica
is the capital city of the nation of Roshtaria and an important hub of the Alliance,
in both financial and political respects.
The city itself is located inland from the Holy River of God, along one of its smaller
tributaries, still making it a viable seaport and highly accessible for traders
to bring in goods. The city also sits at the foot of the Holy Mountains of God,
giving the city much needed protection to the north. The rest of the city is surrounded
by dense forest and various waterways.
Appearance wise, the city is a monument to architecture and artistic flare. Situated
along both sides of a wide central avenue, tall towers capped with minarets of gold
dot the skyline. Closer to the ground, the city boast large residential areas with
tenements made of white stone and a bustling bazaar style marketplace where merchants
haggle and exchange. Indeed, Floristica is the place to be if one is looking for
the lively bustle of humanity.
The centerpiece of the city is obliviously the royal palace, which sits in center
of the city. This is where the business of governing Roshtaria rests. This is also
where the many of the Alliance leaders meet to discuss current Alliance policies
and debate the current state of the government. Serving this dual purpose means
that the palace is often as lively as the marketplace as dignitaries are often coming
and going at all times, and it is often the focus of all eyes, both friendly and
unfriendly, in a time of crisis.
